About River River

River River Writers Circle serves the creative writing community of the lower Hudson Valley and beyond. Our mission is to support and encourage literary artists through free social events, weekly writers’ groups, open mic readings, and workshops, with opportunities to participate in River River Literary Journal. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in New York.

Anupama is an Indian-American poet, graduate of the MFA in Writing program at Vermont College of Fine Arts, and organizer of Seranam Literary Arts and Nyack Lit Meetup. Her poetry has appeared in Fourteen Hills, Monkeybicycle, The Bitter Oleander, decomP magazinE, Bayou Magazine, ellipsis, CutBank, Green Hills Literary Lantern, St. Ann’s Review, Diverse Voices Quarterly, The Tulane Review, The Alembic, Permafrost Magazine, and other publications. Donna Lee Miele

2014-10-23 profile hat - MastheadDonna Lee Miele writes fiction and nonfiction, teaches for Writopia Lab in Rockland and Westchester Counties, New York, and is an owner-manager of Cuppa Pulp Writers’ Space in Nanuet, New York. Her fiction has been published in Red Fez, Atticus Review, and MendaCity Review. She also reviews fiction for Atticus Review, and blogs occasionally for Magnificent Nose. Donna enjoys leading River River writing salons and workshops and, along with her River River cohorts, generally stirring the local writing soup. She received her MFA in 2014 from Manhattanville College. She seeks stories that celebrate human relationship, puzzle over its whimsies and traumas, and mourn its catastrophes.
